Nice texture, detail and DOF, but I'm not really sure what this shot is supposed to convey.

Welcome to DPS.

Nice color and DOF. When photographing a stationary object, you could lower your ISO which would reduce the grainy effect. The blown out right side of the image could also be eliminated by blocking the light source on that area. I think you could make this a stronger image if you added at least a portion of the shoe itself. All just my opinion and offering of another point of view.

Now you have me curious what a Reebok Revenge looks like...off to google.

Hey Freezeframe, thanks for the critique. With the revenge shoes being retro and whatnot, I was trying to accomplish a more "vintage" feel with the graininess. I completely agree with the amount of light on the right side, really detracts from the focus of the image. Maybe I'll try it again with a less blinding source of light. Gah, and I wish the shoes were still in the box :/ But, alas, they are nowhere to be found.

Junglebear: Thanks for the critique as well. I'm not sure I was attempting to convey any message in specific, however this would be a great opportunity to do so, what with the name "revenge" and all.
