Hi guys,
![]() >> 2° Shout louder << Shutter Speed: 0.001 second Aperture: F/16 Focal Length: 26 mm ISO Speed: 1600 I have tried a few angles to shoot this statue but it doesn't work out as much, so i end up with this particular composition which I find it more interesting than other angle. Do you think it is too dull? any suggestion to take better statue photos? Hendric Last edited by hendric; 02-23-2010 at 04:32 AM. |

I think this is a great perspective!! It really gives this statue life. All that negative space gives it lots of room for yelling. I don't know if it would be better or a stronger image but for some reason I want to see just a bit of the shoulders. Not too much, just enough to give the arms connection.

This is one of those cases where you break all of the rules of composition to make a point. It's clever...but it's not great. One of the problems you have is lousy lighting. The light on your subject here is very harsh and high contrast. Wait for better light and I'll bet you'll find a composition that makes a bit more sense.

I think I have to agree that I love the concept, but the statue is a bit too unnoticeable - perhaps cropping just below the armpits would make the difference?
could be a lot of fun with photoshopping other things above him like a speech bubble :P (my amateur two cents, not a pro by any means.)
