I took this photo of a hairbrush hoping to make it look kind of clinical, hence the contrast between the brush and the surrounding. But did it work? is the focus not right...? i love takin g photos of everyday things and making them interesting, or at least give us a different perspective on them. But it doesn't always work! Thanks in advance.

I think this one worked quite well. Kind of gives the bristles a bushlike look. I'm not bothered by the light spots but do agree that cloning them or toning them down would probably help the photo. Nice work.

Fully agree with Chip but I see 4 or 5 of the blown out highlights. It would be nice to clone them out so the eye follows the handle better.
Otherwise well made shot. I'm not sure I get clinical from it, but I certainly get different and interesting. I could see this printed large on canvas (where the white spots might be more or less distracting) and hung in a hair salon or etc. |
