Default "The Hunter" of the night sky

I saw the constellation Orion was out this evening and just HAD to attempt to capture it with my makeshift tripod! I used manual focus @ infinity and the self-timer, but it's still not as sharp as I would like. Any tips on how to get a sharper picture would be much appreciated.

Hi Calimarc-maybe you'd get more help if you re-posted to 'How I took It?' This isn't a critique section of the forum.

It's a good shot, but for critique or help I would move it to one of those sections too.
