Critique: Contrast, composition, color (was the B&W a good choice?) & anything else that comes to mind. I was trying to get the pure blacks/pure whites in here.
Editing: B&W, clone stamped out a glare, brightness/contrast ![]() Larger view: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4062/...274e08eb_b.jpg Camera: Canon EOS REBEL T1i Exposure: 0.033 sec (1/30) Aperture: f/11.0 Focal Length: 55 mm ISO Speed: 400 Flash: Off, Did not fire |

Composition it great, though wish you'd not gotten rid of that sliver of the vent on camera right. Black and white was a good choice--i think the colorful (presumably) rubber bracelets plus all the other color would be overwhelming and too much information to process.
The highlights on the bow and the fingers are too hot and become distracting (a problem I still have!). Because of the overexposure there, the bow strings have lost all detail. You may try spot metering on the skin or the bow next time, but that might risk underexposing the rest of the shot. In that case you could bounce your on-camera flash (not the little pop-up one) from the ceiling or a wall to get a little bit of a fill effect.

I actually didn't notice the bit of silver in the vent on the right, I didn't edit anything out of that. Haha. The glare I got rid of was on the body and super distracting. The overexposure is from trying to get the pure whites in photoshop so I can tone it down and see if it's better.
