Default Which Panasonic Lumix is the newest?

I'm trying to figure out which is the most recent Panasonic Lumix.

I think I'm going to ask for one for Christmas!

I'm finding their site really hard to navigate!
I want a decently wide angle lens, too.
The larger the zoom the better. =)
Thanks in advace!

I suggest you the Lumix FZ38/35. I owned it a month ago and I'm very happy with it. It has a superzoom.

Easiest way to check when something was released is to look at dpreview's Digital Camera Timeline, or their specs pages listed by brand (here's Panasonic's).

I have the DMC-G2 which is the latest Panasonic Micro Four Thirds DSLR. I think they are starting to call these ILC (Interchangeable Lens Compact) cameras. The DMC-GH2 is supposed to be out soon and is a really small SLR.

Default Lumix for Christmas

The ZX3 is not new but is the smallest of the bunch, with x8 zoom.
The ZS7 is Panasonic's newest compact zoom with x12 zoom.
The FZ100 is their newest Super Zoom, with x24 zoom.
The FZ40 is FZ100's little sister, with same zoom but fewer features.
the LX5 is their new high-end low-light camera,

All (but the LX5) have a 25mm extra wide lens.

The latest cameras from the G series, which are the absolute newest, I would recommend only for someone who knows exactly what type of camera he wants.
