Default Panasonic GF1

This popped up on the Nikon Rumors Twitter feed. Another m 4/3 camera.

Panasonic GF1 (Micro Four Thirds) | Photo Rumors

Personally, I'd love one with a pancake, but the price has to be reasonable. I keep eyeing the Canon G10/G11, but can't bring myself to spend $500 on a point-and-shoot that doesn't really have everything I want.

I'm glad that Panasonic gets things right with the GF1. So let's wait for the Leica version on 09.09.09.

You mean the version with the $1000 red dot.

Exactly. Though it would be wicked sweet if they developed some lenses in a m4/3 mount.

Ohgod. If it's not a full-frame M9 announcement, there will be such screaming in the streets...

I do have to say that as happy as I am about the GF1 announcement proving the EVF speculation was true, I'm much much happier that that freaking 20/1.7 pancake is finally released, and it looks good.

And yeah, Leica for µ4/3 would be sweet. Completely unaffordable, but sweet. A µ4/3 25 Summilux, just like its D big brother, would be just the ticket.

Yes, that is the one. Unfortunately, there will not be a Leica version this round.

We all expecting the M9 but it is the other one that I was hoping for the GF1.

I'm going to wait for the E-P2 first.
