Default TC For panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50

Hi All,
I'm Sudhi and I've been shooting with my FZ50 for more than a year.
Off late, I am more in to wildlife/Birding/Macro. when shooting birds i'm facing a problem of 'reach'. So i was thinking of getting the Teleconverter offered by panasonic.

I want to know how good the thing works.
There are olympus/radeon TCs also available in market. Which is reviewed as "not that good, but OK". The point abt those(oly/rad) are they are not consistent.

Its a lot of investment,$200. I don't want to waste any penny as well I don't need a non performer. So please help. I need a frank and wise decision on the panasonic TC as well as Oly& Rad TC.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Sudhiiii...

Default Panasonic FZ50

I have been using an FZ50 for 6 months, I haven't done much bird photography but just happened to shoot this one yesterday, the thrush was a good 12 metre's away under a shrub and the light was low, when the weather improves I will hopefully get some much better shots using the lens on the camera.
