So I'm somewhat of an amateur photographer and I just got a really awesome deal on a Samsung NX100 with the 20-55mm lens. I have a bunch of old canon and other lenses from my canon ae1 program that I'd love to use with this camera but I'm not sure if they'd work out. Now I know I would need a lens adapter to mount the lenses but is it worth it to do so? I've read that you lose auto focus, which I'm not too worried about, but are there any other major disadvantages to using these lenses? I'm either going to buy the lens adapter and try them or I'm just going to sell my old lenses to buy newer lenses for this camera.
Also, I saw a digital macro conversion kit for my camera and have never used one of these before. Will this be a better/cheaper choice for shooting macro or is it worthless? Thanks in advance. |
