I am about to purchase the Lumix DMC FZ150k. This will be my first camera of my own. I have been using my mom's DMC FZ5 for the past few years (wow, she bought that camera seven or eight years ago for $400 I believe).
Anyways, just wanted to see if anyone owns this camera or has used it or the FZ100. There is no review on this camera on DPS yet. There is a review on the FZ100, which cites poor picture quality as the main deterrent. This guy on amazon wrote reviews on both the FZ100 and FZ150 and seems to really like them, claiming that the FZ150 fixes the short-comings of the FZ100. You can find these reviews easily, there are the first one's for both models. His name is Rolla Gavrett. FZ150: Amazon.com: Panasonic DMC-FZ150K 12.1 MP Digital Camera with CMOS Sensor and 24x Optical Zoom (Black): Camera & Photo FZ100: Amazon.com: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100 14.1 MP Digital Camera with 24x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD (Black): Electronics I would like to hear from anyone that can validate what this guy is saying. It all sounds pretty good but I don't know. Thanks! |

I hear what your saying about whether or not to upgrade to a DSLR. For me the decision was if I'm going to get into a DSLR, I don't want to end up getting something that I don't want because of money constraints. The FZ150, has size able zoom for its class and numerous other features should do for now.
