FZ8 vs FZ18

Hi,

I'm planning to buy one of those cameras, or someone in this range of capabilites and price. The only things I think are better in the FZ18, appart from the mpx, that for me is not important, is the zoom range and the most important the 28mm in wide angle vs the 26mm.

The difference in price is just 100€, between them, but if I buy the FZ18 I'm spending my whole budget. And on the other side with those 100€ I can buy an extra battery without brand in ebay, memory card and a cheap tripod.

What do you think?

This is for a present, I'm planning to buy a DSLR in september.

I just get my FZ18 two days ago.
after this two days and 300 photos (some test photos ) I think it's the perfect camera for me...
if you're not professional or some like that, it is easily to get happy with that.

even my girlfriend is amazed about the easy operating.

I choose it because of versatility.
