Question Pentax lenses on Samsung body?

I was scoping out lenses on Amazon.com this morning and saw some that claimed to fit Samsung cameras. Has anyone with a Samsung camera done this?

Thanks.
Ian

Samsung did make some digital K-mount cameras. The Wikipedia K-Mount article lists a bunch of non-Pentax K-mount cameras.

If you're talking about the Samsung NX mirrorless cameras, then an adapter ring is probably needed to use K-mount lenses.

OK, thanks. That's exactly what I was looking at - the NX-10. But not for use with my Pentax lenses, for use with my old Minolta glass with the Novoflex adaptor. Using Pentax lenses too would have been a bonus.

Where do I sent the nickel?

The NXs can, afaik, use any SLR lenses (with an aperture ring. Aperture rings come in handy when the body can't control the aperture), if you can find an appropriate mount adapter. (The Novoflexs are amazing, but expensive. There are cheaper (possibly looser) adapters all over eBay). Where the NXs aren't as nice as the Sony NEX/micro 4/3 cameras is when it comes to rangefinder lenses. The NX mount-to-sensor distance is too big for Leica M or M39 mount.

Just out of curiosity: MD Rokkor 58/1.2?

Charity of your choice, dude.

I tried to add "The Doctor is In" for the reference to be a little clearer, but it wouldn't fit.

Maybe so but I would rather not go to the micro4/3 sensor thereby increasing the multiplication factor for my 35 mm lenses. The NX has an APS-C sensor.

Nope, unfortunately not. That really was a sweet lens. But the 85/1.7 and 135/2.8 are also pretty nice.

Right. Will do.

cheers!

Yup. That's the reason a lot of folks are going for the Sony NEXs, too. And it only makes sense if you already have rangefinder glass in those mounts.
