Default comparing lenses...

hi, would anyone care to share if they know the difference between the picture quality of a OM lens to Zuiko digital lens? which is sharper? which has more bokeh? etc.

ex.
a zuiko 50mm f/1.8 OM lens vs. zuiko digital 50mm f/2.0 lens.
are OM lens really that great compared today's digital zuiko?

I have both, but I'll let you be the judge of which you prefer. Shooting with the 50mm 1.8, you can get very nice shots and good bokeh, but you have to have patience to use it ;-) the manual focus can be tricky.

This was taken with the OM 50mm 1.8. nice color I think, nice bokeh.

This shot (one of my faves) was taken with a Zuiko 70-300mm. As you can see, a little sharper, and amazingly (I think) nice bokeh. Both lenses are good, IMHO, just depends on what kind of shot you're looking for.

really nice bokeh for both photos. i recently bought a 50mm f/1.8 OM lens. (well, kinda bought the whole OM-1, the seller doesn't want to sell just the lens)

i'm thinking if my acquisition is ok... or should i buy the digital 50mm? i know the OM lens is short of the AF... but on the lens quality... i still can't say.
