Hey guys,
I have an Olympus E-520 with the 2 kit lenses (14-42 and 42-150) that it comes with, and when I try to do night photography, no matter what setting I seem to try it gives it a yellow/orange overall appearance...am I missing something? I forgot to mention, its when I am shooting outdoors. The first time I noticed it is when I did a city scape at night (Cn tower across the lake) and last night when I went to a marina. My friend had a normal sony point and shoot and it made amazing night shots where mine looked aweful in comparison. I haven't mastered the white balance portion yet, but I have tried the presets there to see if there is any difference with no luck (sunny, cloudy, auto...etc.) Last edited by Jankz; 10-13-2009 at 05:06 PM. |

hi!
can you post some sample images? usually it's the White balance... but since you tried all the presets, I couldn't figure what's wrong without a sample photo. also, did the built-in flash fired?

just want to add something, if you want to adjust white balance after shooting, use RAW. adjusting WB in JPEG may cause some grainy/noise effect. (and sometimes loss of details)
