Cool Which DSLR to Buy?

Currently I have a Olympus Camedia C-5050 Zoom 5MP w/Olympus Super Bright Zoom F1.8 lens, and an older but like new Canon AE-1 Programmable manual SLR with Canon wide angle and mid-range lens and Tamron telephoto. I'm considering updating to a Nikon D90 or D5000, or Canon T1i. Candidly, will I get that much more moving from my current Olympus Camedia C-5050 to one of these newer cameras, or would it be a wasted expenditure? I typically shoot: family and pet dog, nature, scenery, nature, action, wildlife. The only real problem I seem to have is not having opportunity to click off rapid shots unless I'm not fully understanding the Olympus operations ability. Thanks.

definitely D90 would be better than your current one.
is it only Nikon and canon your choice of dslr?
would you consider E-520 and E-3 of olympus?

I recommend D90 if it fits your future upgrade plan including FF bodies, lenses and accessories.
My 2 cents.
