I know this is an old post but, yeah you can get awesome results with this technique. Using a good macro flash is almost mandatory but, you can get by if you have time to set up. Very very little of the image will be sharp. Mostly dead center. If you move a hair everything will drop out very quick. I use the same technique when I shoot normal macro. Set everyting manual and put the lens at full 1:1. Then just adjust my body to focus. I dont have a macro flash because I can shell over the insane amount of money Oly wants. $400 for the ring and another few hundred for the control. So, I dont use the reverse lens technique very much if at all. If you have a flash then get some OM lenses that you dont care about exposing the back lens to the environment and have at it. You can do some awesome things.
