Well you don't tell us what type of camera it is or what type of computer or what operating system so it is hard to give you help. Most camera makers provide software to read and or convert their raw format.

Did you camera not come with any software for working with the RAW files? There are free programs out there, I don't know them off the top of my head because I use one of a few software that I have that process RAW.
This has been discussed on the forum often, try a tag search on RAW and see what comes up.

If you go to www.adobe.com and download Adobe DNG Converter (it is free) you can use this to convert your Raw image to DNG format (open source Raw format from Adobe). Have a look at this thread and there are some links to Raw Converters that are ok
raw program Olympus is one of those systems that a lot of software does not cater for as they have a closed shop on their format. DNG creators have reverse engineered a massive number of camera formats so that they can be converted. You should have a cd with your camera and on it should be software called SlikyPix, it will work with your Raw images. |

Olympus cameras generally come with Olympus Master software that will read your RAW files just fine.

I'm using rawtherapee for processing my raw files and converting.
http://www.rawtherapee.com/ works in Windows an Linux (might work on certain newer macs via emulator). for just viewing, I use Faststone image viewer. http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm only for windows (might work in linux via wine). Both are freeware.

I'm posting this here mostly for reference, since it deals with older versions of Photoshop & older cameras.
If you're using an older version of Photoshop (like me ... I still use PS7), you can find the appropriate plug-in here. (Yes, I realize it's not a US site - Olympus has long since taken down their links, since they've gone several models up, and Adobe's gone several revisions in). That said, it's still not going to allow you to view the RAW files outright in Windows Explorer/Photo viewer. That's one of the reasons I shoot RAW + JPG - so I can quickly go through the pictures, without having to open up another program, and decide which ones I want to keep. Is it a perfect system? Not so much, but it works for me (and I've found, after 2 years, I've gotten pickier and pickier about what I'm taking pictures of ... I use a 2GB card, and have only ever filled a card up three times in 2 years).
