I just bought one and this camera rocks so far. I will post a review after I have had some time to play with it.

Thumbs up Initial Review

I just recently bought an Olympus 1030 compact camera, so far it has been very user friendly, very easy to use. It's not that heavy or not that light the weight is okay. The GUIDE & SCENE is very helpful to a Rookie like me.

I will be writing more as soon as i explore more of the digicam.

Also i will be posting some of the photos i taken using this camera.

Thanks & cheers!

If you want to use the panorama mode, you'll need an Olympus brand xD card.

If you want to take movies at maximum resolution (640x480) at 30 frames per second for more than 10 seconds, you'll need an "M+" xD card. (Or an "H" xD card, but they're out of production and expensive).

For everything else, you can use any xD or Micro-SD card.
