Default e-410, RAW, and Photoshop?

So I've been wanting to try RAW and since I upgraded to CS3 last month, I thought I'd start, however I cannot pull up the RAW files from my Olympus e-410 into Photoshop. Every time I try to open one Photoshop says "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document".

Can someone help me with this?

Do you have the latest raw plug in from adobe? The PSCS3 may not have your camera's profile so it can't open the 410 ORF file. The latest is Adobe Camera Raw 4.6.0.30

You can download the latest from Adobe.com. Just follow the directions exactly on how to install it.

Also don't know if you're interested, but my son bought me a book called Camera Raw with Adobe Photoshop CS3 by Bruce Fraser and Jeff Schewe. I haven't really got into it yet because I have to wait till Christmas But I needed a book to help me understand what raw exactly is and help me process my photo's correctly instead of just guessing what to do...
Anyway, it looks like a good read.
