olympus sp 560 uz camera controller/cam2com

I bought sp 560 uz around a year back and i've been experimenting with it. I wanted to control the camera using a laptop. I found Pine Tree computing software camera controller and another software called cam2com. Both are recommened on the olympus website. Both the softwares tell me to change the camera mode to pc mode using sdk controller. I used the technique described on the help but what i see in the camera is that my usb interface in the sdk controller is disabled . Is there any way to enable it? currently i'm trying to take pics of orion constellation but even with my tripod my hands are too shaking for the kind of shutter time i need. If i can enable the usb system i might be able to take the photos.
