Default Olympus Pen EPL-2 RAW files overexposed

Now that lightroom supports this camera, I've imported the raw files that I've previously shot. I've noticed that compared to the JPEG's, they're overexposed by about 2/3 of a stop. When shooting these, I had the exposure compensation set to +1/3. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, since the compensation does not match with how much the image is overexposed. What is the camera doing to the JPEG files?

By the way, I don't think this makes a difference, but this camera has been converted as a full spectrum camera for use with infrared photography.

Depends on where the meter is in relation to the IR filter. Technically you have more photons coming down the pipe, so it could throw off the meter, though I wouldn't think it'd be over.

Are the highlights clipping or does it just look brighter? What do the histograms look like?

The highlights are not clipping, but it's close. The histogram is towards the right, but after I reduce the exposure in lightroom, it looks better.

If the highlights are not clipping, then it's probably a combination of your +1/3 exposure compensation, and the +.16 baseline exposure bias. (For iso 200 and higher, it's a -.83 exposure bias for iso 100. ) The camera could be weighting towards brighter midtones - making for a brighter appearance of the image overall.
