I have the 620 and I know there is a setting that allows the lcd to compensate for low light so that you can compose and focus correctly. I believe it is called live boost, turn it off and see how that works.

thanks xinman . Does the e-620 give you sharp photos? Do you have any jpgs straight from the camera I can see, to compare with my cameras output? Most folks show processed to heavily processed photos, and i don't know if my shots , straight out of the camera, are as good as my camera can do. thanks
