Hello I have a Olympus 510 camera with a Rokinon 85mm/1.4 lens. Now the lens is fully manual and sometimes I have trouble focusing accurately. I heard the installing an autofocus chip will help me by providing focus confirmation. the problem is that I need an ADAPTER on which to mount the chip. where am I supposed to get an "olympus to olympus adapter"? also does anyone have experience with these?
heres what I am looking at: AF Chip "Dandelion" IV Generation for Olympus | AF Lens Adapters | peleng8.com - Peleng 8mm f/3.5 Circular Fisheye Lens for Canon, Nikon, Olympus please help, thanks. |

I don't believe anyone produces a 4/3 to 4/3 adapter. Can you attach the sensor to the lens? I know some of the chips come with templates for placement. See this link of a mounted chip on lens, I think the Samyang is the same as Rokinon.
Or maybe you can go with two adapters, 4/3 to Canon and Canon to 4/3. It will change your focal length a little. I have an AF confirm sensor for my legacy lenses and it does help. I also do confirm with Live View (when possible) but I'm not sure if the E510 has this capability... Hit the info button 2 or 3x, and you get an image that is 7x or turn the dial for 10x magnification to confirm focus. Jerome

You don't need an adapter. Just glue the chip to the lens mount in the proper place. They mostly assume you have an adapter, because most folks are using vintage glass, and there are no vintage manual focus four-thirds lenses.
