so i bought this camera, because i was able to get it cheap and will use it as a 2nd body to my 620. i like that they can both share the same batteries. my main reason for getting it though is so that when i'm out i won't have to change lenses as much or at all. it's also a small camera and great when i want to travel lighter. my 620 is not heavy at all.
anyone have this camera. i read up on it and i'm okay that it doesn't have IS, but if you have it, what's your personal experience with it. not that it will be mine, just interested in how you like it or didn't like it. i will have it tomorrow and will come back and post some pictures.

Well I've had mine for just over a year now and I love it. That being said I still haven't really commited to the System as I still only have Kit Glass and will likely be leaving for Sony.
The main reason for Olympus as my first choice was the fact that I was just coming off a year of using an OM-10, my first 'decent' camera (not a P&S). Its been a really reliable camera considering what I've put it through and is largely kept up with me for the past year. Check out my Flickr for some samples of what I have put mine through in the past year. Its also been a great platform to learn on since when I began I had quite literally 0 knowledge. |

A friend has one, and we often go for photo walks together. I've tried it, and it's great. A little bit lighter than my Nikon D60, and can give you freedom to produce really cool images with the right lens (25mm).
As for stabilization... "There's no real Photographer without a Tripod". (quote from a Book)

so far i am enjoying the camera, i love the colors and work around what it cannot do - although i have become aattached to my swivel screen on my 620. i love that the camera is light and if i had a kit lens, it would be great for walking around without the weight.
i plan to give it a good work out soon, as it's going on a field trip next month. i'm happy with the camera. it takes great pictures, but i know its limitations. the rest is up to me.

Full Frame. It's a great camera but I want a wide angle lens that is a wide angle lens. Cannon was my other option but I have just decided to go with Sony.
