Talking Olympus Tough 3000 underwater camera

Well... I just bought my first underwater camera - the Olympus Tough 3000.

I'm supposed to get it in by Monday so I hope this will be the case so that I can start doodling with it ASAP.

I looked for this camera on this forum and couldn't find anything so I hope to be able to contribute to it for other future prospective buyers of this camera.

I'll post photos as soon as I have some which should be no later than Tuesday since I have a field trip with one of my children to a "water" event on that day. I'm looking forward to the field trip but also for the opportunity to get into this new world of underwater photography.

Enjoy.

Suggestion: before you take it underwater, look over the door seals and be sure that there's no foreign debris—hairs are a favorite—on them that will allow water to leak in. I always open both doors on my 1030SW and run my finger over the seals to be sure that they're clean (then close the doors, of course), just before I take the camera into wet conditions.
