Default D90 or D200

I know this can be a controversial topic, but I would like to hear some thoughts. Should I go for the D90, or pick up a D200? I know there is a megapixel difference, but the ergonomics of the D200 is more pro and user friendly as opposed to the D90 (ISO, WB etc). Some opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Travis

I'm led to believe that the d90 is better at higher ISO than the older d200, i could be wrong though and normally am

Having both a D300 and a D90 I would say definitely go with the D90, it is way more advanced than the older D200, and will give you the same quality images you get with the D300.

Tough choice...both really great cameras. However, I would lean more to the D200 if for no other reason than the magnesium body, and I'm sure it's better sealed...it's more of a prosumer camera than the D90, IMHO. A while back, my wife and I shot a wedding and I used a borrowed D200 while she used our trusty Canon 20D. I liked the Nikon so much that we bought a D300, and this was after many, many years of being in the Canon camp. Don't think you'll regret buying either one though.

Sometimes listening at too many advices confuse you more, but the more you research the better the judgment or decision you may take. Certainly D200 is outdated compared to D90. You can check KenRockwell.com and he may clear your mind about all Nikon and Canon SLR’s and their lenses.

Having used both camera's and owning the D90, I'd say the D90 is a better option. The older D200 has a smaller, lower quality LCD, and the D90 is awesome in low light.

That's probably what I'm going to do in the end. I'd love to find a d300 gently used, but they are becoming hard to find. That being said, many of the ones I've seen are around 1300 dollars, and for another few hundred, I can pick up a new D300s.
