Default Nikon D90 feature question

I have a question and I may be waaaayyy off so please excuse me if i end up sounding dumb but i thought i read once on here that you can imbedd some information into your photos via the digital camera body. ie. name, website etc.

is this true?
if it is true then how would i do that? i cant figure it out for the life of me

I have the D80 but I believe the D90 would be the same. In the menu, go the tool symbol(looks like a wrench), & scroll down to "Image Comment". Be sure to tick the box next to ""Attach Comment".

Yes, I use the "Image Comment" to embed my copyright notice and email address. It's a nice little feature.

its possible via the comment feature.

you can also use the photoshop uploader to embed this text too. (thats that i ALWAYS do)

Any program which can view EXIF data will show those comments. If you upload to flickr, it will also display all EXIF data.

Too bad there is no permanent field in exif dedicated to this thing.. That comment can be deleted from F-spot or any software

Well... any data in any file can be deleted. Unless you're into steganography, there's no truly permanent way to embed data into an image. Even your shutter speed can be edited or deleted.

It'll be in your EXIF data. Shows up on flickr when you click on "properties" Neat little feature.
I got the how to from Ken Rockwell's site. Easy to read D90 manual. Check it out. You may pick up a few more tricks/treats.
