how do you normally upload images?

when i plug my usb cord up to the camera, turn the camera on, it asks how you want to view the files on the storage devise (being the pics on your camera)

select photoshop from the list and it will bring up a box where you can select which pictures you want to upload to the computer.
there is a field that says "metatags" and you just insert your name there.
(you can see how it turns out by looking in my flickr page and clicking properties of a photo)

ok ill try that next time. i normally upload the pics through a program nikon offers (nikon transfer) im new to the idea of embedding info so next time i upload i know what to look for.

when i load photoshop and i select a particular photo - under the file tab i select "file info" that brings up a window where i can see the EXIF info and enter info about the autor and copyright, website etc. is that the same thing?

thats just for viewing.. i dont think you can modify it like that.
, i'm using elements so the full version may be slightly different to mine

when i do it, i type it on once, and it applies it to the entire batch.
i'll do a screenshot (when i get home) and step it out for you.

Nikon Transfer can do the embedded info stuff (XMP/IPTC) as well. Just look for the "embedded info" tab at the top. You can set up defaults for different types of photos, and then choose which defaults you want to include in that particular upload session.
