Nikon Point and Shoot Camera

My Nikon Coolpix P4 point and shoot camera died. I am looking to replace it with another Nikon product. Quite frankly the reviews I have read on dpreview.com and digitalcamerainfo.com have not been very complimentary about the family of Nikon point and shoot cameras.

I am looking for virtually no shutter lag as I enjoy photographing jets and other fast moving objects.

Has anyone got a recommendation for a Nikon point and shoot that they have recently purchased and they are very satisfied with?
