Apparently 100% of the time, nikon releases the kit first and the body afterwards. They get more money out of it this way from suckers like me who wanted it asap.
:P

Crazzy88s....Interesting review..I will check your pics next......I am about to get the D90, for Christmas if I am lucky and I have a question about focus. I have a d40X and it has three focus points, and I spend a lot of time making the focus point go where I need it. My family gets antsy waiting for me to get the focus right...(they are very unwilling subjects at the best of times)...I am wondering if it is any faster with the 11 focus points....Can I just quick focus and shoot? I want to use it to take pictures at my daughters wedding. Or do I have to line up focal points? anxious to hear your answer, and anxious to get this camera....regards...dame

Crazy,
Great review. I got my D90 last week and your review was very helpful. I too have problems with picture rotation. I did a quick google search for the problem and found a solution (you may have already figured it out). There appear to be two settings that have to be turned on. The first is in the Playback Menu and is listed as Rotate Tall. The second setting is in the Setup Menu is is listed as Auto image rotation. If I have both these settings to On the picture does rotate. However the one caveat is that the pictures does not rotate until I turn the camera off and then back on. Seems a bit strange but so far I still lover the camera. A huge step up from my D70s which I still like.

In reference to the rotate tall, the one in the playback menu is for LCD viewing. The other rotate image in the (? I forget what menu) is for after you download the images to your computer. When you bring the image into your editing program, it will automatically rotate for you without you having to rotate the image. I too had a time figuring this out! LOVE the D90 though!!!

i could be misteken, but by the looks of things the sensor is awesome, my D80 gives as much noise at iso1000 as the D90 does at iso3200
(my high ISO NR is always on) (gurgle) hmmm. i hope my 80 lasts a long time.. but in the same breath the thoughts of iso capabilities like this is very tempting. ![]() D80 is still my baby tho'

Chip,
Your a correct about rotating during the play back mode. After reading your post I advanced with the playback button and photos were rotated. When I tested mine I turned off the camera first and did not think about looking in the playback mode. Thanks for the update
