This kind of thing is frowned upon, in all discussion forums. You dont create threads to advertise other forums for the same topic.

I agree. I have 2 hobbies -- Photography and Tropical Fish maintenance. I'm a member of only one other forum and it's a fish site and no one ever uses that site to promote another fish site that has similar material. Plus, DPS is a great site. I'm content. It fulfills my photography needs. :-) Besides, I don't have time to hang out on too many other sites. It's time consuming.

I have mixed feelings about this. It is kind of rude to go into somebody's business and promote another business, however it is nice to share other resources with people.

I took a quick look at that forum and quickly noticed that there is a very nice feature it has that would be great here. In their critique section (and I imagine others) each thread has a mini picture by the title and if you hover your mouse over it you get a much larger image -- this is really a great feature and would be a welcome addition here.

Actually, after reading your post, I took a look at the site. It's not bad. I must admit . . .

Yep, pretty much a d*(k move. The mouse over icon is pretty cool, but I wonder how much bandwidth that takes up? I say a bunch of us go over and sign up and start posting links back to DPS. Wonder how Andrew would like that???

Since this is the OP's first and only post here I do think that is improper as it appears it's is someone trying to drum up business for the other site. On the other hand if a regular here did the same thing I would appreciate someone letting us know about another interesting site. After all how many of us only frequent one site.
