I have a Nikon D5000 that at the moment am using on Auto Mode until I get the hang of the Manual settings.
While in Photoshop and zooming in to remove a blemish on the skin I noticed an odd looking Pixel with a + through the middle of it and on examining the entire photo I found another one. One of them appears as a red dot and one white. They are not noticeable unless zoomed in heaps but I was wondering if they are dead pixels and do I need to start panicking? If I edit in Camera Raw that automatically fixes it but now I am going mad and looking for the spots in every photo. |

You've got 2 STUCK pixels. Dead pixels would be black.
There's no need to start panicking; Hell, Nikon wont even fix it if you were to send it in: 2 isn't enough for them to work on it.

It is such an easy fix (like you said ACR does it automatically) that there is nothing to worry about.
