Default can't decide! SB-600 or SB-700

OK, so I know one of the previous recent posts was about shoemounted flashes and I have read it, but I'm still stuck deciding on a SB-600 (which I found for $170) and the SB-700 which is about $100 more. I have looked at the Ken Rockwell comparison and it appears that the 700 has a better interface and power output, but it is heavier. One thing I do want to use the flash for is a ringflash attachment for macros. Is the SB-700 worth the extra hundred dollars and I'm wondering if the extra weight will be too much with the ringflash attachment. Any thoughts?

Since the D90 has commander mode I think that eliminates one of the major advantages of the SB700.
For just macro work with a ringlight modifier I think the SB600 is the winner.... If you are thinking of progressing further and using flashes for strobist type work then it's a little tougher. The SB700 has some advantages which might be nice...FWIW, I use 1 SB800 and 2 SB600's and have found no reason to upgrade (for macro work I have a R1C1 kit)

Im using the same setup as sk66, minus the R1C1. The 600s, if you can find them used, will fit the bill perfectly.
