Default Nikon D60 Pop-up Flash

Back in June the pop-up flash to my D60 suddenly stopped working (i.e. it popped up but didn't fire). The camera is about 3 years old and I hardly ever use the flash. I attempted to google the issue and it seems to be a common issue although on fairly newer cameras. Does anyone know if there is a quick fix like replacing a bulb or loose connection to fix this issue? Thanks.

Here's a "how to" to fix it....along with the appropriate warnings. It's for a D700, but applies to all of them.

So glad I didn't send it in to Nikon like they suggested.
