I just got the D7000 this week and headed out today for a photo shoot with my daughter. I was so sad when I uploaded the pics and noticed that MOST were out of focus!
Please help and tell me which settings I should have my camera on if I'm mostly doing portrait photography. Which auto focus mode? Any other tips? I never had this problem with my old D50. I need to know how to have more control on my focusing since the camera obviously didn't select the correct spots! Thanks so much! |

for portraits i would use manual focus. if you need auto you can use auto-S for single focus. it will focus once when you push the shutter halfway down.
Also check your focus points. you can chose them with your directional dial pad on the back.
