What camera do you have? Did you check if it is supported by the Camera control pro? Not all nikon cameras are supported! If your camera is not supported check this video tutorial on how to do tethered capture with cameras that are not supported in lightroom.

If you are using a MAC this works great for tethered shooting and it's FREE!!! i use this with my macbook and my D90 all the time and i have no complaints at all. i dont work for them or anything, just passing on something that i found and think works great!

If you're a PC though, I use Camera controller Also free, great functionality, only thing is it doesn't look very good, so I wouldn't use that beyond personal stuff
