Moon's pretty tough to do without a teleconverter and long telephoto lens, tripod, cable release.

Moony 11: Shutter speed of 1/iso, your ISO, and f/11. Even with loooong lenses and TCs, you can maintain a hand-holdable aperture and shutterspeed combo that wont kill your eyes with ISO. That being said: if you're serious about telephoto work, you're gonna be spending big bucks to get the real deal. Sports usually means a 70-200 f/2.8 (~$2200). Wildlife usually means 400mm+ (~$1800+). Moon shots usually ask for even more, so a good TC will be a huge help. TCs only work on top-notch lenses though, so you're looking at those expensive lenses, plus another ~$350 for the TC itself.
