Hi - I currently have a Nikon D60 but it is in the shop for repair - the shutter box probably needs to be replaced. I like the camera and have only been disappointed in low-light situations (I take a lot of nature/wildlife shots and so I am in the woods a fair amount of the time) and I would like more than the (3) focusing points/and higher ISO's without noise. I would like to be able to grow into my next camera. I am still an amateur but hope to at least get a booth going at local art fairs etc., and generally one would be selling 8x10's. So long story short I am curious as to whether it is worth it to go to a medium format or full-frame or just continue to work on my compositions within the smaller sensor. and if that is the way to go which Nikon camera would you recommend? For lenses my standard go to is a 70-200mm Nikkor but it is only 5.6 when zoomed out (will probably move to a faster lens when I get the $) to get crisper shots. I also have a Tamron fixed 2.0 60mm for portraits and macro. Anywho - any advice would be much appreciated - thanks in advance!

Sorry if this question seems irrelevant, but which Nikkor lens is 70-200 with max aperture of 5.6 at telephoto? Do you mean the 55-200mm 1:4-5.6, or the 70-210mm 1:4-5.6D? I'm just trying to imagine what setup you have.
Sounds to me like a big jump to go from a D60 body (which sells for around $275 used) to full frame (D700 $2500) as an amateur. I personally have been a big fan of working my way up slowly through the used market. You can essentially rent equipment for free if you find a good deal used and sell it later if its not quite what you were looking for. I'd recommend this because it sounds like you don't know what you want but know a few features that you are missing with you D60 (which was my first DSLR). You could start with a used D300/D300s for around $850 with the 51 AF points and good ISO performance. It would take you years to outgrow that camera.
