Default Nikon D5000
I have a D5000 and im having problems getting it to focus when panning. Once the car is in focus i normally keep my finger down and keep taking pictures but with the D5000 it takes ages for it to adjust focus. Is this normal or is it just a setting i have to change?

Do you have it set to continous AF? How fast is the moving car?
