Question just bought a Nikon D3100 and have a ques

So I just bought my first DSLR camera and switched from Cannon to Nikon with the digital switch - so my question and it may be dumb but i am going to ask anyway it came with 2 different sized Ferrite Core and i can't find anything in the instructions that says what they are for - so what are they for?

I bought the D3100 myself yesterday, great camera ,but two sets of ferrite cores and no usb or power cable included in the box to put them on, very funny Nikon
