Default SB600 or SB700

Which would be a better choice? Please help me decide. Thank you!

Depends. Some find the menu system on the SB-600 kludgy, but if you can live with it, you can get one a lot cheaper (assuming you can still find them). I personally dont mind it (its the same as my SB-800, my main flash) so I got two SB-600s to use as a studio. Almost got 3, frankly.

I tried an Sb-700 out yesterday and, frankly, didn't see anything that was a huge improvement over the 600. There are more buttons on the outside of the flash which makes it a bit quicker to change things, but it's not a massive game changer and, frankly, for $100... thats not enough for me

The 700 is no more powerful than the 600, either. It is smaller though.

Thank you very much!
I think I'm going to go with the SB700 though because it can act as a master with other flashes.

The one feature of the SB-700 that I think is actually more important is SU-4 mode. Saves you having to buy YA radio receiver in a studio-type off-camera set up.
