Default Nikon d90 shutter speed problem

Hi everybody,

I have a problem with my new Nikon D90 shutter speed.
I am using the Manual case (M), i fix the F to be 5.6 and the shutter speed to 80.
the shutter speed seems to be not fixed, and every time i need to take a new photo i have to reset it, it can't save the settings of the shutter speed.

Please, is there anybody can help me fixing this problem?..

thanks,
bahjat

Are you using flash when the shutter speed changes?

Default thanks

thanks all,

Actually I am not that good with the camera "Nikon". the shutter speed could't not be fixed, and wach time it starts from anther speed value. I dont know what is the Automatic Exposure Bracketing enabled option? I mean when I put the cursor to M this should mean Manual use right?,
I don't know if there is an option in the menu to fix the shutter speed or not.... or maybe there is a problem with the camera.

Thanks for your help,
Bahjat

When you turn on AEB it will change exposure even if you are in manual, hence the word automatic. hold the bracketing button and make sure it is set to 0F
