Default Nikon 60mm F/2.8G ED AF-S Micro compatible with nikon D3000

I want to invest in a macro lens for my Nikon D3000, and this lens received a good review from Digital Photo.

Only problem is that it says it works with any APS-C (DX) models. I know that I have an APS-C sensor but I am not sure if it will work with my camera.

I would appreciate any help, thanks in advance

Yes!

The most important thing you have to remember is that you need Nikon AF-S, Sigma HSM or Tamron BIM to get auto focus with your D3000.

This is correct, but for macro work you'll be focussing manually anyways, so I wouldn't get too hung up on that bit.

Just a reminder about D3000's AF requirement in general.

One thing to concider when buy a macro is the focal length and how close you need to get to the subject. It will not matter if you are working with stamps, but if you want to shoot insects, you will be right on top of them with a 60mm lens. This has the tendancy to scare the little guys off before you take the shot. I thought about this lens when I bought mine, but chose a longer focal length to have a bit more room to work with between the front of the lens and the subject.
