Talking nikon d7000 card,help please

My new Nikon d7000 arrived today!!. I am wondering what memory cards are best for this camera. I am not very familiar with all the new cards there since I have been using my D70s in the past five years which used CF card. Thanks millions for your help!

You can use either CF or SD, or both at once in that camera. Just use a good quality SanDisk card or equivalent (the black ones not the blue ones).

Are you sure I can use CF card too? Only SD, SDHC, and SDXC are mentioned for the camera. Thanks a lot

Well I could be wrong. The D300s allows for that and I thought the D7000 did too, but check your manual. Is there a CF slot, if not then well... I am wrong

Sorry to say Kirbinster, but you are: the D7000 has 2 SD slots, no CF.

Darn it! They have been telling me for years that I am only human, and I guess it is true

According to Nikon:

Approved Memory Cards - D7000

Really though, any SDHC card will work. Some are just more reliable than others

Thank you all, just wondering which card has best quality/price ratio. Hope there is a money tree in my backyard so that I don't have to think about price at all and just buy the most expensive one. for whatever in my mind

I just bought this camera for my wife for christmas. The biggest recommendation I was given at the store was get at least a Class 10 card. I picked up two off of b&h (well my mother and MIL did, for gifts).

Got two of these: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...SDHC_Card.html

came with a card reader (which works out nice since the mac doesn't have one). had 120 some odd reviews, all pretty favorable for the price point. So far seems to work fine. I set them up to have video go to one card, and images to another.

MacBookPros have an SD card slot built-in to the left hand side of the body.
