Default Nikon D7000 RAW issue

Just got a new D7000 which I am pretty excited about. I like to shoot in RAW and it was no problem with the D60. Now it seems that Lightroom and Photoshop don't recognize the format. I have even tried changing settings in the camera.
12 bit vs 14bit
lossless compressed vs compressed

still not recognized. Anyone with similar problems? Any ideas? Thank you in advance
Martin

Update your RAW converters to the latest versions. You have to do that with any new camera that comes out.

I believe with Photoshop you should be able to open D7000 files with CS4 or later, but you might be able to get away with CS3. Lightroom im not sure, but just run the latest update.

I believe a Bridge and Camera RAW update just came out for the D7000. Not sure about version compatibilities, but I was under the impression that both Bridge and Camera RAW can be had for free.

You need to update to Lightroom 3.3 which has Camera Raw 6.3.

You get to a point with older versions where they simply dont update anymore. CS2 wont open a D7k file, for instance.

Holy crap! I have just come to the realization that my computer is horribly out dated. I'd have to upgrade my OS and boost my memory just to make the minimum specifications to run LR 3. Which I'd love to do if money were no object. Until then I downloaded Adobe DNG converter. Which can be viewed in LR 2. Hope that holds me over....I am taking donations by the way
