Default Canon, Nikon and Nissin Di866 Flash

I was looking up the compatibility list for a Nissin Di866 Pro External Flash. Look Here

Both, canon 5D MkII and Nikon 700D are mentioned as compatible.

Then I looked at the pin configuration on the hot shoe for each of these cameras. They don't match. I don't know what the pin configuration is on the bottom of the Flash. There are many pictures of the Flash, but none of the pin configuration. Crazy, isn't it?

So, before I go and spend my hard-earned dollars, can some expert out there let me know, if it is the same flash that will work on both cameras, or they are two different flashes i.e. "Nissin for Canon" and "Nissin for Nikon"?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Scott,

So between the Canon 5D Mk2 and Nikon 700D, which one would you recommend for photographing functions such as weddings and conferences?

I know which way I would go, but they are both great bodies..... Common feedback seems to be Canon if video and image size are important, Nikon for ISO performance and autofocus.... I guess it would boil down to what is more important for you. Wedding wise, I would go high ISO performance, but I am Nikon biased.
