Nikon D80

I'm a student and I have Nikon D80.I wanna 2 know what's the best shutter speed and the aperture if I want 2 take pictures of wide depth of the field and the Shallow.


Also, do i have 2 use a tripod if I want 2 take pictures of a slow shutter speed and fast shutter speed.

OH GOD! THAT FONT!!

first things first: change the font back. no reason to yell.

deep depth of field: f/8, f/11, f/16, f/22, f/32, etc. You're going to get some diffraction (loss of sharpness) at the smaller apertures (bigger numbers), but it may or may not be discernible.

shallow DoF: f/1.4, f/2, f/2.8, f/4. You're going to get some falloff (vignetting) at the larger apertures (smaller numbers), but it may or may not be discernible

tripod for long shutter speeds: try it out. you tell me.

You also posted 2 hours apart, at what is the middle of the night on the forum time. YOur likelyhood of getting an answer in that time is almost nil.
