Default D3000 lens

Hi
I have the chance to buy a Sigma 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5 EX DG AF LENS. Does anyone know if this lens is usable on a D3000.

USeable yes but it's an extremely limited focal length (and an odd one on DX) .

Oh and it wont actually autofocus on your D3000

Thanks for the reply. Not to bothered about the autofocus, I want to use it on a tripod for landscapes. Would you say it would be able to handle this.

It would, and it'd be wider than most kit lenses (22mm vs 28mm) so it'll give you a ncie field of view too. I dont know if it's any good optically, but should be okay. It is an EX after all, and that's Sigma's way of designating a "higher quality" lens.
