Good choice. Many reviews are complaning about the CA (chromatic aberration), but I never had issue with that. I love my 35mm f/1.8 It will auto-focus on your D60 and will give you acces to low-light / depth of filed. The lens is also sharper than the 18-55 / 55-200.
The only thing you may have to get use to is getting close of you subject if you want a good headshot. 35mm is a bit wide for portrait but not impossible. I was almost 12" of my subject for these: Blue | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Apples | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Morning drew | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Frozen Purple | Flickr - Photo Sharing! You can also check Almond.Butterscotch's Flickr. He's doing most of his picture with that lens.
