Default 50mm 1.2

I have a 50mm 1.4 Question is, if I buy a 50mm 1.2 will I notice a difference? will it be better?

Not in the 50mm range. Youd see a difference between the 85/1.8 and 85/1.2. The 50/1.2 isnt that nice, tbh.

The bigger question though is WHY.

Plus the f1.2 it's ALOT more money and weight. The 50mm f1.4 is an outstanding lens and you can't go wrong it it.

Better for what?

The main difference you'll probably notice is that the 50/1.2 is a manual focus lens.

I shot with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II before I adapted an OM-mount Olympus 50mm f/1.2 for my Canon. And the thing is--there is a difference and you will notice it, but it may not be as extreme as you're expecting it to be, and focusing wide open at f/1.2 (which is why you bought the lens in the first place) is not a piece of cake. You have a very thin DoF, and the lens is likely to show more of its weird weaknesses (CA, catseye bokeh, etc.) there.

There's nothing quite like shooting at f/1.2, but it may not be enough to justify the cost increase. I'd recommend renting one before purchasing, so you can see for yourself.

Chances are good 90-95% of what the 50/1.2 does you can do with your 50/1.4. It's just a matter of whether that last 5-10% is worth the price.
